WHOSE SHOES? Putting People First is an established learning and development tool helping a wide range of forward-thinking organisations make progress with the personalisation agenda. It generates constructive discussions, helping people understand more about the challenges and opportunities involved in delivering the requirements of Putting People First and Transforming Social Care, a huge programme of change in public services.
In the form of a thought-provoking board game, Whose Shoes? offers an imaginative, interactive approach. It helps people work together to explore the issues and jointly find a way forward.
The game is a practical tool helping local authorities, universities, care providers and others move on from the big picture or “vision” to what it really means for individuals and services.
People can walk in each other’s shoes to explore key issues. There are over 160 messages in the game which allow real concerns to be raised and discussed. The opportunities and challenges presented by the transformation agenda are explored in a completely non-threatening way.

A flexible package of help is available to tailor use of the game to your needs - for example, using the game as part of a larger event with facilitation and follow-up activities. Please contact us to discuss your requirements or to find out more.
Typically the game will be used at workshops / seminars / conferences / Learning and Development events to help people work together to explore the issues presented by the government’s 'Transforming Social Care' agenda and jointly find a way forward.
It can also be used at team meetings or anywhere where people need to engage with 'Putting People First' and are asking the question “How have we got to change in order to deliver this agenda?”
